Company screening

An initial review of a company’s market, business model and financials.

Screening is the part of the process that saves time. Members work through a defined set of criteria and decide whether a company is worth a closer look.

Most companies do not pass, and the reasons are written down. Those notes become useful when a sector comes back into focus.

The screen is reviewed each term and adjusted where it produced the wrong result.
